Hello my name is Georgia and I am 11.
I like dancing because we get to do lots of exciting things like going to Disneyland Paris and dancing festivals. We do Ballet, Modern, Tap, theatercraft and disco. My favourite is Tap.
I have been dancing since I was 5, during my time at Just Dancing Studios I have won, “Most promising Junior, and inter performer” and also “Most Promising Inter” In Disneyland Paris. Also a wide range of medals and certificates, including a 1st, 2nd and 3rd. At Just Dancing Studios
I have many older and younger friends and we all help each other to improve our class and competition work. On a Monday night we do R.A.D ballet and private lessons for festival work. We do R.A.D with Miss Diane for an hour and its really fun and we do lots of Exams for this as well.
In my time at Just Dancing Studio I have met many friends Ellie, Alex, Emily, Becky, Chloe and many more. This Dancing school is not just a school we all work together and Its more like a big family!

Lauren

Hi, my name is Lauren and I’m 12.
I have been dancing with Just Dancing Studios since I was 6, and my favourite style of dance is tap and disco. I have taken varied number of exams and achieved well earned grades.
In 2005 I did my first major show at the Pomegranate theatre in Chesterfield. I come to dancing every week because I enjoy being with my dancing friends and also the different dances we do to well known musicals, such as High school musical, Chitty Chitty Bang Bang and Oliver.

Ellie

Hey my name is Ellie I am 11.
I have been dancing with Just Dancing Studio's since I was 3.
I like dancing because we get to go to different places in and out of England such as Disneyland Paris. When I was there I won the most improved inter!
I have been to many festivals with our dancing school and I have met many friends over the years. I like going dancing because it’s really fun and we get to do all sorts of fun dances to loads of musicals. We get to do lots of exams together in lots of varieties of dance. My favourite kind of dance is ballet.
We did an amazing show in 2005 of all sorts of dances. We get taught our own dances to do at festivals and duets to do together. On Mondays we do a different kind of ballet called R.A.D with a fun teacher called Miss Diane for an hour then we go to our other teacher, (who is also fun!) Miss Dawn for our private lessons where we learn and practice our solo’s, duets and trios.
I like doing private lessons because I get to practise my solo’s and other stuff with my age group.

Emily

Hello my name is Emily and I am 14 years old.
Coming to Just Dancing Studios has changed my life. I had been dancing since I was 3 but came here when I was 10. it was a great decision as I learnt a lot better quality of dance and the atmosphere is so much better here than my old dance school.
The festivals are brilliant they give us a chance to have fun and win medals through dance. When I did my first dance at a festival I was quite nervous but after a few tries it began to be fun and now I love it! I have become a much better dancer because of the festivals and have now won quite a few medals including one in Disneyland Paris.
The first year I came we started rehearsing for the 2005 show. The show was brilliant as I was included in a lot of dances even though I was new. It really got us in the Christmas spirit!
People have come and gone, although it’s hard to get rid of us, and throughout these times I have made so many friends. Alex and I have become unbelievable friends and even though we’ve only got to know each other over the past two years we’re now practically sisters! Miss Dawn has been so kind to me helping me with my dancing, driving me about, letting me stay at her house with Alex and looking after us at festivals. Miss Dawn and my Mum are now becoming good friends and have gone out quite a few times.
This is a brilliant dance school and we have all become a big family and we all like each other a lot.
My dancing has improved because of everyone here, we all help each other out and want to be the best we can. I love all the styles of dance we do especially tap, ballet, modern. There are a wide variety of performances we do from dancing at hospitals, to big shows at the pomegranate theatre!
We do trios, duets, solos and groups, in these we sing and dance. It’s really fun here and that’s why I will probably never be able to leave, and I’m sure that’s the same for many more people. I love it here from exam work to the friends I’ve made, the sparkly costumes, and the hard work.
It’s all brilliant and I know what ever happens in the future a part of this dance school will stay with me forever, no matter what age or ability everyone is given a fair chance and are looked at the same.
I want to say thanks to everyone here especially Miss Dawn for giving me this opportunity to have the best time of my life through dancing. 

Carol

Hello my name is Carol and I am the person who can normally be found at the table by the door when you come into dancing. I have known Miss Dawn since her school days and have been involved with the dance studios since my eldest daughter started at the age of 3.
I have learned many skills such as hairdressing, make-up artist, chauffeur and, of course tea-lady, whilst my 2 girls and developed their dancing skills. Now I write out the dreaded bills that parents don’t want to see and try to keep all the paperwork up to date, with names, addresses and phone numbers so that Miss Dawn can concentrate on the teaching. I have always liked the friendly atmosphere in the school but I am aware of the discipline that is needed to allow the girls to enjoy themselves and have fun, whilst also putting in the hard work that is needed to get the best out of themselves.
I am there to offer a sympathetic cuddle should any of the children need one.

Alex

Hi my name is Alex. I’ve been dancing since I was about 6 and I am now 15.
Here at dancing we have a great time every time there is a class. As soon as you join us you make a load of friends.
When I first started my friend was Becky! I was really shy when I was little and didn't want to come dancing at first, and I wouldn’t come unless my sister came. So I had to wait for her, she was too young to start when I got invited to come. Now people think I would never have been that person because of dancing.
As well as dancing we also do a bit of singing that helps to build your confidence up. Dancing is an amazing thing, you make so many friends. Here at Just Dancing Studios my best friend is Emily, she’s not just my friend here but everywhere really. It’s not just a school it’s a big family!
We also do RAD which are ballet grades, which is taught by Miss Diane and although she can be poking us and telling us to do something she is really nice and helps us a lot.
We do festival about 4 times a year and normally don’t come home with out at least one medal. We also did a competition in Disneyland Paris in October 2008, where I came 1st for tap and 2nd for modern solos. I have so many duets solos and trios and a few groups but I really enjoy it.
We did a show in 2005 and I was in a lot of dances and we haven’t done a show since but we are doing one soon and I can't wait because I think it’s one of the best parts.
Just Dancing Studios is a great dancing school to be at and Miss Dawn is a great dancing teacher. Although it’s a small school we get one-to-one attention in class and in private lessons so it helps us so much. Just Dancing Studios is really good, and I’m glad I started here. 9 years on and I still don’t want to leave. 

Becky

Hey I’m Becky and I’m 16.
I have been dancing with Just Dancing Studios the majority of my life, as I started just before my 3rd birthday.
When I first started our studio was at Permic House on Chatsworth Road, since then we have been to Brampton Manor, ACCA, St Marks Church, Holymoorside and Wingerworth.
I have been in 3 ‘Major shows’ the 1998 and 2000 shows in Mansfield, and the 2005 show at the Pomegranate.
We don’t just do shows we do festivals, displays and exams. I have done displays at the Royal Hospital, in elderly peoples home and Chesterfield town centre.
Over the years I have won a vast number of medals, certificates, plaques and trophies. Miss Dawn teaches us I.D.T.A. while Miss Diane teaches us R.A.D ballet.
Our dance school is quite small so we get the individual care and attention we need to perform to our best potential. At just dancing studios you can have one to one lessons, called Private lessons which are there to choreograph new dances for the up coming displays, shows and competitions. Not many dancing schools are able to have these as they take great time and effort from a dance teacher, which Miss Dawn gives up for us. Just dancing studios is forever changing, new costumes, dances, faces, studios. I think everyone at dancing would agree that we are not only all friends but we are a family; we all help each other in everything we do. We also do things other dance schools may not do, for example the seniors, Miss Dawn and the other students went to see Mamma Mia at the cinema when it came out, we also have Christmas party’s and have birthday cake when its your birthday.
In October 2008 some pupils went to Disneyland Pairs to compete in a European dance competition, we all had new dances, new costumes and went with confidence. Every person who competed from our dance school got a medal, and I got 3rd place for my tap. We had an amazing time and we had a once in a lifetime opportunity you may not get if you went to a different school. As I am currently 16 I am thinking of what I want to do in the future, and I think I may want to continue dancing and become a professional dancer, but even if I don’t make it Just dancing studios will always be a main part of my life and I would like to continue teaching here.

Megan

Hi my name is Megan and I am 13 years old.
I have been at Just Dancing Studio's for ten and half years now, and I still love every minute of it. My sister Caitlin also comes to dancing and she is now 11. At dancing we do loads of really fun things, like dance festivals and shows. We do festivals, (competitions,) four times a year. They are always great fun and usually at least one of us comes home with a medal or trophy. Miss Dawn is planning to do a big show in 2010, as it is the dance school’s 25th birthday. I can’t wait!
For all the shows and festivals we get special costumes for each dance and although they cost quite a bit of money they are always really worth it.
Just Dancing Studios is quite a small dance school, we get one to one attention and we can improve quicker. On Mondays we have private lessons where we work on our festival dances and we also have RAD, which is taken by Miss Diane. This improves our technique and makes but us better at ballet. We also do exams about twice a year which are always really good.
Just Dancing Studios is a great place to come if you want to learn how to dance and we sometimes do singing also. Although lots have people have come and gone there is no way any of us are going to quit yet. All of us at dancing have become such good friends. I have learnt so much that I will never ever forget.
Just Dancing Studio is the best dance school in the world and nearly 11 years on I still don’t want to leave!

Hazel

Hi I’m Hazel and I’m fifteen.
I first started dancing here when I was ten, and now can’t imagine going anywhere else. When I first began dancing, I was somebody who wasn’t very confident and also wasn’t very flexible, but now after being here and learning about how to stand properly and perform, and after years of stretching my legs to nearly breaking point, I think I have much improved in both areas!
In 2005, I took part in the show we did at the Pomegranate. it was so much fun and an amazing experience to dance on stage and it was this that made me want to begin taking part in the festivals (competitions) that Just Dancing go to about four times a year. For these you have to do private lessons on a Monday, which is more or less a one to one lesson in which we choreograph new dances for the festival or improve current dances. I really enjoy doing them!
At dancing, we do many different aspects of dance, which even thought some I’m not as good at as other types, I enjoy doing them all and sometimes when I’m bored at school find myself looking forward to Saturday when I can come here again!
One of the best things about Just Dancing Studios is that because it is quite a small dance school, everybody gets on really well and I have made some very good friends here.
As I’m 15, and am beginning to try and think about what I’d like to do in the future, I think that if I did decide I’d like to do something dance related, that Just Dancing Studio's has given me the strength to do so. For the moment though, I love being a part of the school and don’t want to leave!

Caitlin

Hi my name’s Caitlin and I am 11.
I have been dancing since I was 4. I love coming dancing every Saturday, Monday, and the occasional Thursday.
I have made lots of friends and I have learnt lots of dances! We do ballet, tap and theatre craft (which is really fun).We also do festivals where we can win medals!
I love dancing and don’t want to leave.
